Independent Living
Quick Contact
Haro Park Centre is a Campus of Elderly Health Care, the first of its kind in Vancouver.
The Campus of Care provides independent housing, assisted living and residential care, allowing elders the opportunity to age in place. As their needs change we are able to provide elders with the necessary care without moving them away from the home the have come to know and the relationships they have developed.
The levels of care offered at Haro Park:
Residential Care:
In addition to nursing and physician services, Residential Care provides access to a dentist, podiatrist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and optometrist. Your care needs will be supervised by registered nurses and provided by care aides. Our team works together to provide activities that are meaningful to you. Meals, snacks and laundry are provided. If you require mobility aides we will provide the equipment for the first three months. If you need a wheelchair, walker or cane beyond this time frame, this is your responsibility. We can refer you to companies that can assist you with rental or purchase. See more on our Residential (and Complex) Care page.
Assisted Living:
To access our Assisted Living, you need to connect with Vancouver Coastal Health, who will assess your suitability for the program. In addition to two meals per day, we provide assistance with bathing if required, light housekeeping, laundry and medication checks. You must be able to walk to the dining room. For more, see our Assisted Living page.
Independent Living:
To access our Independent Living, please contact Haro Park directly. This program is subsidized by BC Housing and you must be over 60 years of age to access this program. Haro Park does not provide any additional services for our independent living tenants.
